asked that we consider this joint meeting every year in April. alternating
sites. Seguin usually meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month. This will be
April 8th in 1992 if it's not TLA week.
_ requested we go to the county commissioners j ointly with a consensus r&-
quest for funds and have the librarians present a joint report. Last year's
funding was $2.50 per capita.
General Discussion -
_ Seguin/Guadalupe County Library has a contract with the county to serve
the county. It was generally agreed that our library 'WOuld be better
protected with the same type of contract. As a board. we should advise
the city manager of our prefefJ1rJor this t~esaction. .
_ The Retro Conversion Project\}h~~ 'been ~C(bY both libraries) in favor
of Precision I. It is cheaper and puts us both on the same cataloging
system.
As soon as the updated census figures are complete. Gail will check with
Ada and make the same request per capita from the county as Seguin does.
All board members agreed that joint sessions were beneficial to both
librariea and both boards.
