The LAB met in regular session on Monday. June 3. 1991.

Gail reported -
- $47,000.00 is our request to the county budget.
- that the Seguin Library is requesting $20.000.00 for a library in Marion.
- the expanded reauest portion of her budget will include a security system. a
$3300.00 raise for herself (effective when she recftaves her master's degree),
and $1581.00 for raises for the other paid positions.
she will have to turn in a 5 year plan to Mr. Sweatt by June lOth.
she has not asked for an increase in the book budget; LAB recommended she add
a 10% increase.
- we need a new compressor because one is overloaded and keeps tripping. LAB
recommended we add the cost of a compressor, a new computer, and the roof repair
costs to the expanded request portion of the budget.
- she attended the Boerne Library opening-beautiful building.
- that Mr. Wiederstein has not been paying his extra overdue bill.
- that lights & Alc have been left on by. various organizations. After lengthy
discussion, David recommended she check \lith Bob of D & R Electric on the cost of
placin~ a timer on the lights & A/c to be programmed from inside the library.
- she woUld like to brief' the board on her budget reauest on June 17th.

Old Business:
_ Jerry Graham (Streets & Parks) will redo the stripes on the parking lot this
summer and the sidewalk to the back door (book store) by July.
_ Gail 1:eft a message with Mr. Sweatt that Ron Wiederstein will pay his arrears
by Oct. lst. Mr. Sveatt did not respond.
Nev Business:
_ Connie attended the Lay Representative's meeting in Bandera. Joan Schmidt of
Pearsall and Darlene Clements of Lytle were elected to the advisory council of
SAALS. (San Antonio Area Library System).

Gail reported -
_ that Mrs. Krause (city secretary) advised ve not come to the council workshop
on June 26th as the budget will not be part of the agenda that night. Mr. Sveatt
vi1l have to speak: with each department headfirst before submitting his budget
recommendations to city council.
that her final budget request to the city vas $119,479.00.
- that our final budget request to the county was $47.895.00.
