LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
The LAB met in regular session on Monday, September 9, 1991.

Gail reported:
- that the historical land deed \las evaluated at $750.00. It was deeded to John
James who surveyed San Antonio. She will speak with the Alamo Area Librarian
about selling it to the Alamo Area Library. Cost of the evaluation = $75.00
- spoke with Ada about setting up a county federated system of libraries.
Margaret. Richard, and Mary will meet with Gail on this.
- that we received $47,000.00 from the county budget for next year.
-the state library credits us with serving 19.175 people in our end of the county.
- the county funds 43% of our budget and the city, 57%.
- our budget request from the city was cut $12QO.00; $1000.00 out of t~e
maintenance portion and $200.00 out of meeting room fixtures.
- she would like to revise the meeting room policy. Policy Committee will meet
and return with recommendations.
- she would like to have a small reception when the1Lemm Local. Histor1- & Gel1€~ology
Room plaque is unveiled. The board agreed to SDonsor it.
- that Sakae Sawyer's china will be displayed on October 2nd.
- there is a controversy brewing between the two book store volunteers. The
Bookstore Committee will meet before the next meeting.
There were no committee reports, old business, or new business.
