Connie reported that she had written a thank you letter to Mr.
Lanier. She had also written a letter to Aggie Aguilar, former
council -member, expressing our appreciation for his service as
liaison to the library board, and a l~tter to Tony Paulson
expressing our ~ppreciation for his eight years of service on the
library bc'at'd.
Gail reported that she had sent a notice to the Minnie Piper
Stevens Foundation from the city secretary stating that we are
tax exempt as we are part of s municipality.
A discussion was held concerning the setting up of a bookstore.
It was decided that we would look into the matter further. Gail
will check with G.V.E.C. about getting a security light at the
back of the library building. Ruth asked if we-were going to put
in a sidewalk at the back of the building. It was agreed that we
needed a sidewal k arid that W['0 wc'luld get some bids Q)'"I it.
Connie expressed the need for reactivating the Five-Year Plan
committee. Margaret agreed to be chairman of the committee.
