LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
The Library Advisory Board met on Thursday, November 1, 1990, at
7:30 P.M.

have a treasurer's report at the next meeting.

Gail advised that we now have an ordinance concerning overdue
books. She advised that persons with overdue books were sent
post cards and letters and were contacted by telephone. If the
overdue books were not returned, the matte0 was turned over to

Margaret reported that the meeting room policy has been turned
over to the city, and the city manager will determine the
policy for the use of the meeting room.
There was a discussion concerning advisory and governing boards.
The library board is an advisory board. It was not clear what
the duties of an advisory board should be. It was ~uggested th~t
we ask Mr. Sweatt ~6 come to ~ meeting (p~obably in January) to
advise us and to answer any questions that we might have.
Connie advised that she had not yet sent out the letter to the
~andolph Area Genealogy Society. She had written a draft of the
letter which she read to us. It was agreed the letter should be
shown to Mr. Sweatt. Gail will send along a memo providing
background information.

officers for the upcoming year.
