LIBRARY ADVISOHY BOARD MINUTES
The Library Advisory Board met on Monday, February 13,
7:30 P.M. The regular meeting night of February 6,
changed due to icy weather.

The minutes were presented. Margaret moved to accept the minutes
and Gerald seconded it. Motion carried.
The treasurer's report was presented. Julie advised that the
trea.urer's report on the dance and auction was not ~omplete at
this time because all elf the mell",ey was not yet il"', Ruth moved
that we accept the treasurer's report as presented and Mary
secelnded it.
There was some discussion concerning the dance and auction and
hClw we could impt",;)ve the fl.mct iCIY" for Y'lext yeat". Mat...y suggested
that we write a letter of thanks to Mr. Lanier for his services
as aucti':'l',eet", aY'id that we shcII.lld alsc, pt"esent him with a gift to
show our appreciation. It was suggested that we get a book for
the libt"at"y iI'" Mt". Laniet"'s r,ame. C':'l'll"lie will check with
Michelle tCI see if they agree t.:, the gift. Gail will e'rdet~ the
book. Gail reported that she had four new volunteers at the

OLD BUSINESS:
The annual book sale scheduled for March 31, April 1 and April 2,
1'389, was disclJssed. Gail t"ep':'l'''ted that I",,:.tices elf the boc"~, sale
has been put on the water bills. Items for discussion concernlng
the book sale were the need for tables, lights, fans, a possible
work day, and publicity. Tony and David are to meet concerning
the building plans for the library addition.
NEW BUSINESS:
Connie suggested that we give a memorial in honor of Mr. Ray
Stanhope <City Councilmember). Ruth moved that the board donate
$100.00 to a beautification fund for the city in memory of Ray
Stanhop. contingent upon the establishment of such a fund. Tony
seconded. Motion carried.
