LAB 12-04-1995
SCHERTZ PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met in regular session on December 4, 1995 with the following
members present:
Ruth Tienor
Julie Parr
Barbara Quates
Juan Thorn
Dallin Malmgren
Charles McDonald
Gail Douglas
The minutes of the November meeting were presented. A motion was
made by Dallin and seconded by Juan to accept the minutes. The
motion carried.
The Treasurer's Report for October was presented. Julie explained
that the report for November was not yet available. Juan moved to
accept the report and Dallin seconded. The motion carried.
The Librarian's Report was presented:
There are still some problems with the automation. Gail hopes
to have them resolved by the end of 1995.
Gail raised questions about increasing the fee for non-resident
cards, and eliminating free Library usage to people who only work but
don't live in Guadalupe County. We will have further discussion in
January, and policy will look into this.
There will be a Volunteer Appreciation Brunch at the Library on
December 28, 1995 at 10 AM.
Committee Reports:
The Nominating Committee presented their slate of officers for
1996. They are:

John Grosskopf Vice-Chairman
Barbara Ricks Secretary
Julie Parr Treasurer
Barbara Quates moved to accept the nominations and Dallin seconded.
The motion carried.
Old Business:
There was no old business.
New Business:
There was no new business.
The next meeting of the LAB will be January 8, 1996. Julie made a
motion to adjourn and Dallin seconded. Motion carried.
