Gail reported: Gail reported that two benches were ordered for the front
of the library. Gail reported that John Reeves, a Park and Recreation
employee that was put on light duty will be putting up book shelves.
A good portion of the paperbacks from Mrs. Friesenhahn (approx. 2000-
3000 books) were donated and will be used for the book sale.
Gail states the library is really busy and the amount of books being
checked out is increasing.
Margaret asked~bout the Randolph area Geneology Society meetings
scheduled at the library. Gail read a letter from the Society
requesting the 4th Tuesday of the month. This issue was discussed
by the board. It was agreed upon that they can have the meeting
room for 6 months and that the board would not be able to deviate
from board policy. A letter will be written to this effect.
Ruth made a motion and Mary seconded it to approve this and the motion
carried.
Committee Report: Public Relations: Connie will bring mail outs
for the book sale
Book Store Committee: A Workday in March will be scheduled before the
booksale to get the back room ready for the sale.
Old Business: Gail mentioned the trees need to be trimmed and the
landscaping cleaned up around the library. Gail will get some
recommendations and set a plan to present to the board next month.
New Business: The job descriptions of the various committees do need
to be updated.
