LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING
The LAB met in regular session on May 3, 1993.
Members present: Richard Cervantes, Julie Parr, Ruth Tienor,
Mary McAllister, Gerald Thurman, Dan Schofield, and Gail
Douglas, Librarian.
The minutes were presented. Dan moved that they be accepted
as corrected. Ruth seconded it. The motion carried.
The Treasurer's report was presented. Ruth moved that they
be accepted. Gerald seconded the motion. The motion
carried.
Librarian's Report:
Gail presented the resignation letter received from Sylvia
Marbach, Advisory Board Secretary. Sylvia stated her pursuit
of higher educational goals will prevent her from partici-.
pating in Board activities.
Gail thanked everyone for their participation in National
Library Week. The week-long event was highly successful and
proved to be a very good public relations tool for the
library.
No committee reports were presented.
Old Business:
Clara Neumann will be nominated by Gail for Schertz Volunteer
Award. Richard will present Clara with appreciation letter
and $10.00 gift certificate from Pat's Place tomorrow (May
4th).
New Business:
The Schertz Independence Day Parade will be held. on July 3.
The Board will meet sometime in June to develop float theme
and design.
Julie moved to adjourn and Ruth seconded it.
