Minutes: Minutes for the May meeting were presented. The date for the meeting was
corrected from June 6 to May 6. Ruth moved to accept the corrected minutes, and Julie

check was incorrectly endorsed and put in the general fund. The amount will be

Librarian's Report:
The stats for May were not up as much as previous months, but still 43% more
than last May.
The staff schedules have been rearranged because Sundays are very busy. Every
third Sunday, a regular staff person will have to work. This schedule change will
last through the summer. Another full time person will eventually need to be
hired.
Gail has requested a $15,000 budget increase based on the population increase.
Since stats and hours have increased, she thinks the amount will be approved.
Two San Antonio Missions baseball players will read to children (ages 6-12)
during the next Children's Reading Program.
The new furniture has arrived but not put in yet.
New computers will be put in the front part of the library after the reading
program ends.
Dee Dee Dale will help with the parade float. The theme is "Honoring Our
Heroes." Julie suggested that Uncle Sam be dressed as a fireman. Further parade
