- The Summer Reading Club stats were down because school was out earlier last year.
However, there has been a very good turnout to this year's program.
-Pia Jarman will give a series of sessions on dog obedience as well as the care and
training of dogs. So far, 24 children have signed up. Adults are also welcome.
-Gail has spoken to the DelGreco Company. They are ready to start laying brick as
soon as a brick sample is approved. No definite start date has been set.
-Gail also looked at carpet samples and chose Elegant Envy, a dark teal green color.
-ProQuest is up and running but has not been advertised yet.
-The budget request for next year has been made and the budget hearings will be held
some time in July.
-Gail was given the name of a representative to write to about grants. Proposals are
due in August, so there is still time to make a request. If a grant from LCRA is
accepted, the money ($25,000) could be used for a new roof.

decorated depicting "stars" from history, such as George Washington, Paul Revere,
Betsy Ross and Thomas Jefferson. A banner will be made stating, "Read about the
stars of history at your library." Board members will meet at Norma's house to decorate
on Thursday, July 1, at 7:00 PM.
New Business: Councii Representative, Pia jarman, reported that the smoking
