Fifty per cent of the County Revenue Sharing Funds have been recieved.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
Library Cards issued for Eeb. were 38 resident 8 non-resident and
2 users fee.
There were 93 children and 8 adults attending story hour. Collected
were $4I.05 in fines with a circulation of 1857 items. There ere now
II,589 books catelouged.
There will be e film presentation by Gary Johnston of the Stete Dept.
of Highwpys on March 19th at 7:00 P.M. at the Library. '
A order of a 125 books from Baker & Taylor hAS been pIeced.
District IO will provide plestic book bpgs for the Librery to
distribute to their customers..
BUDGET & FINANCE SEE ATTACHED SHEET.
BUILDING
Henry Delony reported everything was in working order and the broken
beck window has been repIAced.-
BOOK SALE
Donne stated thet the Advertisments hAve been sent to Cablevision
end adds to the pApers & rAdio stations are ready to be mailed out.
Posters were pessed out to Board Members to be delivered.,
The Community Building set up will begin March 25th at IO:OO A.:M..
There will be e section of new paper becks for children. We will
nee d to collect seles tax on these items end p 20% profit of seles will
be made by the Librery.
It was agreed by the Board to store pll left over books for next
years sple.
There will be a pre-s~le for the Board & Volunteers on Thursday the
26th at 7:30 P.M.
A sign up sheet for working hours At the sale was passed around~or
Boerd Members..
Earl Sawyer seid berring sny uni'orseen naturel dispsters, he would
report to the Board at the next meeting on the possible use of the Comm-
unity Building AS A Library.
Evelyn Rogers got an estimete of a 50X 60 ft. Cement Block Building
for 57000.00 dollars. The contractor will be present at the next meeting
to answer questions..
A letter of regisnation wes accepted from Jennie Williams.-

REPORT OF THE BUDGE'!' AND FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Budge~ and Finance Committee of the Scher~z Library Advisory
Board met at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd of Feb.. 1981 in the Library.. All
three members and two ex-officio members were present.. ~aclt1e Clevelandl:
Dona Grfl.inger, Richard Bledsoe, Margaret Riley # and J"ulie Parr.
The committee discussed forming a friends group for the Library..
obteining grants end related topics, and forming working sub-committees
composed of Board members and directed toward areas of fund raising.
The committee recommendsf
That the Librarian begin through daily conteats and publicity within
the Library to build a list of those petrons interested in joining a
friends group with particular emphasis on those people interested in
leading Rnd orgflnizing such a group..
That the membership of the board be divided into the following
working committees which are chartered to begin investigating fund sources
in their respective areas.
