Remodeling: Gerrard Electric will check on a buzzer for the door. Mary has
asked for a timer to control the floodlights. A timer has been
ordered. Mary has not been able to find a record browser and it
was suggested we check with Gary Job Corps Center about building
one. Evelynts son is to build a magazine rack but he may need
to wait for 15" boards. The white rug has not been picked up at
Aladdin's Cleaners downtown.
Policy: Mr. Hill has been selected as Alternate to the Texas Conference
on Library Services. Twenty people attended the Speaker's
Bureau meeting. It was decided that people living on F.M. 1518
having a Schertz or Cibolo mailing address are eligible for
Library privileges but those having a Converse address are not.
Publicity: Story Hour is being more heavily advertised.
Unfinished Business: Due to the success of the 4th of July venture, it was decided
we would participate again next year but would try to run the
jailhouse or try to have a less expensive booth. We recieved a
check from the Greater Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce covering
the account of the previous Library conrrnittee. Marion Shannon
was unavailable for publicity for the previous conrrnittee. The
new shelves have been received and are installed. One shelf was
two inches shorter than the others and has been placed in the
workroom. Mr. Rusch stated there was no set aisle space regulation.

speaker more acceptable to the general public. Tuesday evening
is a better evening due to BVYA activities. We will try for an
October slot.
The storeroom is too full and we will need to expand into a second
room. We need to schedule a book sale; however, it was decided
we would wait for one year. Mr. Hill suggested we use the
Community Center for the sale and Ruth suggested we sell the books
by the inch; i.e. 25~ and inch for hardbacks and 10~ for paper-
backs.
The book give-away will be held on August 9th. Margeurite, Kay
and Rhnnda will pick up the books. Eva and Ruth will attend the
