Board met for its monthly meeting on Monday, November 2, 1987,

The minutes from October were presented.
Margaret seconded the motion.
TREASURER'S REPORT

Mary moved to accept the minutes, and
Julie presented the treasurer's report. Margaret moved to accept it, and Mary
seconded. A Quasar VCR was purchased for $298.00.

The Collection stands at: Adult, 9385; Juvenile, 3449; YA,
Mona Quesdada began working as library clerk on Oct. 16th.
Inventory on Juvenile non-fiction has been completed.
Mr. Wuest did bring in items Mayor Sawyer mentioned: an 1841 sheepskin deed
on Cibolo Creek signed by Mirabeau Lamar, some 1904 hymnals, 1878 books, etc.
Folks are trampling the ivy while getting pecans out front, so Mike will
probably post a sign as a reminder to take care.
We are ruoning aut of space at the mini-storage on F.M. 1518.

COUNCILMAN'S REPORT
Aggie made note at a city council meeting of our occasional problems with the
Herald printing our publicity. After that meeting Herald reporter Laura Glene-
winkel spoke to him and requested that we give our print items to her.
FINANCE
Gail has ordered Hooper's Directory of Funding Sources for aid in fund-raising
projects. Connie will bring some info on an omelet supper fund-raiser that is
handled through one of the agricultural services.
BUILDING
Earl is working on the library addition plans and should make significant head-
way this week.
POLICY
As we have been in the current building for five years, there was some discussion
as to handling repairs, cleaning, maintenance, etc.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Margaret and other committee members will report on the slate of~officers in Dec.
The LAB approved keeping LAB members whose terms soon expire but desire to continue
in service. (Fred's term expires in December 1987.)
OLD BUSINESS
There is still no report on the arts and crafts show that we co-sponsored
with the Humane Society.
As there was no further business, Ruth moved to adjourn and Julie seconded.
