LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES
The Library Advisory Board met in regular session on Monday, September 9, 19d5
at '7: 30 p.m.

Ruth presented the minutes of the August meeting. Fred moved that the minutes be
approved and Julie seconded.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Julie presented the ~reasurer's report. Fred moved to accept the report and Ruth
seconded.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
Stats:

User's Fees 0
Copier Fees - $ 59.ho
Fines, Etc. - 130.55
Circulation - 4,115
Reported by Gail:
The Collection stands at: Adult Volumes - 7tl33; Young Adult - 1251; and
Juvenile - 2906.
Gail has changed her working hours to d:30 to 5:30, Monday through Friday. Mr.
Gilmore has approved this change.
Saturdays in September will include movie time. October Saturdays will be stories.
Instead of a V.C.R. or TV, Gail would like to purchase a book return. (County Revenue
}unds can be used for this.) Discussion followed. Aggie asked if it was feasible to
put a book drop in a wall. Fred suggested a book drop in the door. A book drop near
the present drop was also discussed. "Ruth moved that"lGail decide which book deposit
she would prefer, evaluate it) ,and act upon it. }f'red seconded the motion. I1otion
carried.
On September 24th Margaret and (jail will go to the Lay Advisory Council Meeting.
BUILDING
An electrician will be out this week to check the air conditioner.
OlD BUSINESS
Mellon Foundation forms have been resubmitted.

A bench has been purchased. Gail will check into purchasing another bench for
the fountain area.
Several board members attended the City Budget Meeting. The librarian did get a raise
and the clerk goes on full-time status beginning October 1.

Gail has been named City Employee of the quarter.
