03-25-1980 .. \ I e I e PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened in Regular Session, Tuesday, March 25, 1980, at 7:00 PM, in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members were present: MEMBERS PRESENT: Adolph Aguilar, Chairman John Linebarger, Vice-Chairman Jacqueline Lawler, Secretary Kenneth Greenwald Raymond Stanhope Merwin Willman CITY STAFF: Glynn Stanhope, Administrative Assistant OTHERS PRESENT: Mark Norwine MEMBERS ABSENT: Charles Sharp 111 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Aguilar called the Regular Session to order at 7:00 PM. 112 APPROVAL OF MINUTES - March 11, 1980 March 17, 1980 March 11, 1980: Amended to read: "Members Absent: Charles Sharp"; "Others Present: Don Schoenfeld, Balcones Rock Products, Inc.". Mrs. Lawler made a motion to accept the 'minutes as amended. Mr. Linebarger seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously. March 17, 1980: Amended to read: #2 - under Nayes: ' Mrs. Lawler. Mr. Linebarger made a motion to accept the minutes as amended. Mr. Greenwald seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously. #3 PLANNING SESSION ON LAND USE Mr. Greenwald made a motion to table a discussion on Land Use until such time as Mr. Gilmore, City Manager, could be present. Motion was seconded by Mr. Stanhope. Motion carried unanimously. #4 DISCUSSION OF THE COMMISSION PROPOSE RULE OF PROCEDURES The Commission members reviewed the proposed rule of pr~cedures. Mr. Linebarger made the motion that unless the Texas States laws precedes that Section 503B be amended to read, "the vote of the 'majority of the members present carried". Mr. Stanhope seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously. . , e I e '. - 2 115 STAFF BRIEFING Planning and Zoning Commission asked Ms. Stanhope if Mr. Riedel had spoken to City Staff about his use of the land between Live Oak and Pfeil for the use of building apartments? This question was in reference to a front page story in the Valley News. Ms. Stanhope stated at this time the City had not been asked for a zoning change. #6 GENERAL DISCUSSION There was some discussion about sub-division ordinance on mobile homes. /17 ADJOURNMENT Chairman Aguilar adjourned the meeting at 7:47 PM.
