MINUTES - P & ZMEETING
The Planning and Zoning Commission convened in Regular Session Wednesday,
April 26,1978 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400
Live Oak Road. The following members were present:

#1 ' 'CALL TO 'ORDER
The meeting was called to order by the Chariman, Mr. Aguilar, at 6:00 p.m.
#2 'APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of April 12, 1978 were approved. All members were in favor.
#3 HEARING OF RESIDENTS
No residents were present at this time.
#4' 'REVIEW OF 'PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE
City Staff presented to the P & Z Commission the proposed zoning ordin-
ance for their review and discussion at 6:55 p.m. this part of the meeting
was recessed until after the Public Zoning Hearing.
The Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council met in a joint session
on the following item:
#5 JOINT PUBLIC ZONING HEARING - ZC-7
The'purpose of the Joint PUblic Zoning Hearing was to hear opponents and
proponents on the proposed rezoning request of 3 parcels of land consisting
of 3.016 acres, 3.017 acres and 3.169 acres which also includes lots 13
thru 16 which are located in the G. Malpaz Survey.
The following citizens were present:

Roy James 821 Curtiss
Also present:
Ma 1 ford Koch ,
Marvin Koch
Celyta Dendy, which are owners
of said property.
All citizens present except the owners were against rezoning.
After much discussion, the chairman then closed the Joint Public Zoning
Hearing.

#6 ZC-7 Recommendation 'to the 'City 'Counc1'l"Ofl'theKoch 'Property Rezoning'
Request. d . .
A motion was made by Mr. Charles Sharp to rezone the Koch property from
R-2 Single Family Residence District.to G. B. General Business. This
motion was seconded by Jack Stomackin.
The following members ~~ted "aye": Charles Sharp, Betty Wlse, Jack
Stomackin. John Marquette voted "nay" on this issue.
#7 PC-9 JAROSZEWSKI SUBDIVISION
Mr. Michael M. Slay of the W. E. Simpson Co., lAC. then expiained the
1 ayout of the Horseshoe/Oaks Subdi vi sion ,( forma 11i JaroszewskiSubdivi sion).
There were many questions particularly of the water pressure., The master
pl an and the phase 1 1 ay out were reviewed. All. questions pertaining
to this development were answered. A report from the City Enginee,r was
viewed and the remaining questiolJs were satisfactory. Having no further
question~ the subject ~as closed. .
#8 GENERAL DISCUSSION ,
There was general di,scussion and the Chairman' reminded the Conmission
that the workshop would continue, after the close of the Agenda Item
#7 Regular P & Z Meeting. ~ .
#9 ADJOURNMENT
Having no further comments, the meeting of the P & Z was closed at 8:35 p.m.
