PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz
convened in Regular Session Tuesday, August 22, 1978, at
7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400
Live Oak Road. The following members were present:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
The Joint Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commis-
sion and the City Council was called to order by Chair-
man Aguilar at 7:00 p.m.

JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ZC-18
A rezoning request by Mr. Graham L. Burris to rezone
286.5 feet out of Lot 1, Block 2 and Lot 1, Block 2
from the proposed Bavarian Village Subdivision from
Pre-Development Zoning to General Business District
Zoning. This request was tabled due to insufficent
information concerning the exact location and size
of the lots.
There also was no representative present to clarify
questions asked by P & Z Commission. This portion of
the Joint Meeting was then closed and the Planning &
Zoning Commission then proceeded with their regular
meeting.
#3 APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The following corrections to the minutes of August 18,
1978 were made: Chairman's last name should read
Adolph Aguilar instead of Aquilar. The next correc-
tion to be noted was the commissioner's name should
read Raymond Stanhope, not Ray Stanhope. With these
two corrections, the minutes were approved as read.

Preliminary Plat Review
After review and explanation, Mr. Stomackin made a mo-
tion to approve the preliminary plat. Mr. Marquette
seconded, all were in favor, motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Stanhope made a motion any person presenting any-
thing for consideration to the P & Z Commission should
be present or that there be a letter explaining the
reason they could not be present. This motion was se-
conded by Mr. Marquette. All members were in favor.
Motion carried unanimously.

GENERAL DISCUSSION
There was general discussion pertaining to the time ele-
ment in which information should be presented to the
Commission for action. It was pointed out that the Or-
dinance stipulates that business being brought to the
Commission will be presented no later than 10 days prior
to meeting time.
#6 REVIEW PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE
The P & Z Commission reviewed the proposed ordinance
until 9:00 p.m.
#7 ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
