PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission and the Schertz City Council convened
in a Joint Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 2, 1982, at 7:00 PM, in
the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road.
Members present were as follows:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Stomackin called the Meeting and Public Hearing to order at 7:00
PM, and turned the Public Hearing over to Chairman Linebarger of the
Planning and Zoning Commission.
#2 PUBLIC HEARING
Chairman Linebarger advised the audience, and the members of the hearing,
that the purpose of the Public Hearing was to consider a recommendation
by the Planning and Zoning Commission to amend the Zoning Ordinance No.
79-5-15, to add a new section to that ordinance that will be entitled
"Home Occupations ". Chairman Li nebarger then summari zed the proposed
change. There were no Citizens present at the Public Hearing and there-
fore, there were no comments provided for or against the proposed change.
#3 GENERAL DISCUSSION
There was general discussion about what effect this change would have on
existing "Home Occupations". Chairman Linebarger advised that it is not
the intent of the Planning and Zoning Commission to place any undue en-
forcement upon existing "Home Occupations", but merely to be able to
administer "Home Occupations" in the future. There was no further
discussion.

ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Stomackin adjourned the Public Zoning Hearing at 7:00 PM, and with a
brief intermission, Chairman Linebarger advised that the Planning and Zon-
ing Commission would reconvene in the Conference Room for a Special Session.

February 2, 1982, at 7:15 PM, in the Conference Room of the Municipal Com-
plex, 1400 Live Oak Road. Members present were as follows:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Linebarger reconvened the meeting at 7:15 PM.
#2 CONSIDER AND MAKE RECOMMENDATION, IF APPROPRIATE, TO THE CITY COUNCIL
ON A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 79-S-15, WHICH WAS
DISCUSSED IN PUBLIC HEARING
Chairman Linebarger reminded the Commission Members that everyone is
familiar with the proposed change since it had been recommended by the
Commission. He asked for a motion to be made. Ken Greenwald made a
motion that the Commission recommend approval on the proposed zoning
ordinance change to the City Council; William Courtney seconded the
motion, and the vote was unanimous in favor.
#3 GENERAL DISCUSSION
There was little general discussion, but Tom Brooks did state that he
had been advised that the Archie Heimer PRUD is scheduled to begin very
shortly.

Chairman Linebarger adjourned the meeting at 7:25 PM.
