PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened in a Regular Session
on Tuesday, September 28, 1982, at 7:00 PM, in the Conference Room of the
Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road. Members present were as follows:

CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
#2 READING OF MINUTES: Regular Meeting
September 14, 1982
Lee Boswell made a motion to approve the minutes, Merwin Willman
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.
#3 CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION: Planning and Zoning Commission Rules of
Procedure
Tom Brooks presented the Commission with a proposed "Rules of Procedure"
for the Commission that had previously been prepared by the Commission,
but had not been officially adopted. Tom Brooks advised that the only
change being proposed was to add an item that authorized the Planning
and Zoning Commission to serve as a Citizen Participation Committee.
Merwin Willman suggested that Appendix A needed to be revised to pro-
vide more information. Tom Brooks advised he would make changes prior
to submission to the Council. Ray Stanhope made a motion to approve
the proposed "Rules of Procedure" for the Planning and Zoning Commission
and submit them to the Council for approval. Cam Beauchemin seconded
the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.

~ #4 PLANNING SESSION: Consider and Make Recommendation for a Community
Development Block Grant
Tom Brooks briefed the Commission on the City Staff recommendation
for a Community Development Block Grant. He presented drawings of
the current and proposed water distribution system for the City. The
City Staff proposes that a new twelve inch line from the Nacogdoches
site along FM 3009 to IH 35, then along IH 35 on the north side to
FM 1103, then cross under IH 35 and connect to the city line located
near Northcliffe, be constructed. Cam Beauchemin recommended the City
Staff proposal be accepted and submitted to the City Council. Lee
Boswell seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.

There was none.

Chairman Linebarger adjourned the meeting at 7:55 PM.
