PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
~ The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened in Regular
Session, Tuesday, 27 January, 1981, at 7:00 p.m., in the Munieipal Conference
Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members were present:

Chairman Aguilar ealled the meeting to order at 7: 00 P.M.

John Lin~ made a motion the minutes be aecepted as written. Merwin Willman
seconded the motion, The motion was earried unapimously.

#3 STAFF BRIEFING ~ rv
Ray Upton briefed the eouncil on,~ir compressor lebuilding and leasing Co.
Possibly going in on 20 acres on IH 35 North.Monoteeh has submitted Blue Prints
for an additional building ( Costing $230,000 ). San Antonio Machine will put in a new
Building ( Costing 38,000 )
A new house going in on Fawn Drive in Deerhaven.
The Plats for Lost Meadow III have been filed.
Possibly a day care center by Quality Aluminum on Main Street.
Henry Guiterrez would like to Sub-Divide 21 Aeres and put in a road
behind his place.
#4 GENERAL DISCUSSION
Mr. Willman requested that the agenda at the next P and Z meeting include
proposed changes to Zoning Ordinanee.
Mr. Willman suggested that the P and Z Council schould get with the
industrial Development Committee to establish Guidelines on Deannexation
of new industries as incentive to their selecting Schertz. It was the
general Concenus of the P and Z eouncil that it was up to the City Couneil
to set the guidelines although P and Z eouncil could make inputs.
Further discussion led to what happened to the publie hearing that was to
be held on January 27. Ray u~n said he would get with Mr. John to see
if there was a misund~and g on his request for a special use permit.
