PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened in
Regular Session, Tuesday, March 10,1981, at 7:00 PM, in the Municipal
Complex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members
were present:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Aguilar called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
#2 READING OF MINUTES - February 24, 1981
Chairman Aguilar made a motion that the minutes be accepted as written.
Mr. Willman seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously.
#3 DISCUSSION OF CHANGES IN ZONING ORDINANCE
There was a short discussion on PRUDD and then it was suggested further
discussion be postponed to a later date.
Chairman Aguilar made a motion to postpone and John Linebarger seconded
it. The motion was carried.
#4 DISCUSSION OF MOBILE HOME ORDINANCE
Mr. Gilmore briefed on two Mobile Home Projects (former IIE1 Rancho and
Mobile Vi11a"). He said the Mobile Home Ordinance looked good. There
was some discussion on the requirement to having a fire bottle available
and the possibility of them being stolen. It was a common opinion that
this requirement could be changed or modified. There was also discussion
on wells, septic tanks, tanks and water lines.

#5 DISCUSSION OF.~APTISl CHURCH
Mr. Gilmore and Mr. Ford discussed the church's problems of getting a
plat. It was brought'out that Mr. Anderson, being the one who sub-
divided the area, was responsible for the plat. Mr. Ford stated that
the road was slated to be'a 901 road as a main road in the Master Plan.
There are also drainage problems, and the road could not be put in piece-
meal.Other subdivisions had to have roads, curbs, etc., when they were
subdivided. Mr. Linebarger suggested that the site of the church be
treated as a separate enity. Mr. Ford would get with the churchls

~ #6 GENERAL DISCUSSION
There. was discussion on the new garage on Live Oak and Curtiss Avenue.
There was also discussion on signs going up along the railroad tracks.
Mr. Aguilar announced that he had been on the Commission for 5 years
and would be required to leave his position. Mr. Gilmore said he
would verify dates

Chairman Aguilar adjourned the meeting at 9:10 PM.
