#4 CONSIDER AND MAKE RECOMMENDATION: Fence Ordinance
The Commission was provided a proposed change to the fence ordinance.
It was noted the Zoning Ordinance, Artilce XVI, restrict the size of
fence in the front yard at the 48 inches and side yards are not to be
open and unobstructed. After a 1 engt.hy di scussion about side yards,
it was determined the city ordinances have sufficient restrictions at
the present time and exceptions should be approved by City Council.
It was agreed the wording in Article XVI should be changed to make
the restrictions clear. It was noted many side yards are fenced in
the city and maybe this needs to be changed. . Item was tabled until
the zoning ordinance review is conducted next year.
