BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING
Regular Scheduled Meeting
August 28, 2008
The City of Schertz Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will meet for a regular meeting on
Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway,
Schertz, Texas. This is an open meeting, subject to the open meeting laws of the State of Texas.
Notice of time, date, place, and agenda is hereby posted on or before Monday, August 25, 2008 at
11:30 a.m., as required bylaw. This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are
available. Audio units for the hearing impaired are available for any meeting. Advanced notice is
recommended.

3. Approval of meeting minutes dated July 24, 2008.
4. Update of the monthly financial report from the City Finance Director.
ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION:
5. Discuss and take appropriate action on the 2008-2009 Economic Development Corporation
Budget.
6. Closed Session in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, 551.074 (Personnel
Matters). Deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties,
discipline or dismissal of the Economic Development Specialists. In addition to the matters
listed above, any matter scheduled for open session may be discussed in Closed Session, as
deemed appropriate and authorized bylaw.

to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
12. Adjourn.
The Board reserves the right to discuss and appropriate act upon any item listed on the agenda in open session. In
addition, the Board reserves the right to adjourn into Closed Session at anytime during the course of this meeting to
discuss any of the abovementioned or following matters, as authorized by the Texas Local Government Code:
Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations
about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), and 551.086
(Economic Development). No action maybe taken in Executive Session.
A quorum of the City Council and/or other City Boards, Committees, or Commssions maybe present at this meeting.
