I
On this, September 6, 1962, the City Council of the
City of Schertz, Texas, regularly convened at 7:30 o'clock p.m.,
Central Standard Time, at a regular meeting in the City Hall
in the City of Schertz, Texas, with the following members
present, namely:
Roy W. Richard
Elgin Beck
Geo. P. Bolton
R. R. Cosby
W. E. Ebert
Ralph R. Ikels

Alderman

City Secretary
and, among other proceedings had by said City Council, the
first were had, to-wit:
Mayor Roy W. Richard, having duly called the meeting
to order, announced that the first order of business was the
receiving and acting upon bids for the purchase of $301,000
CITY OF SCHERTZ SEWER SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1962, which had
been advertised for sale on this day and at this time and
place; and thereupon the Mayor publicly announced in an audible
voice that all bids for the purchase of said bonds should be
turned in for opening and consideration by the City Council
of the City.
After receiving and opening all such bids and after
consideration thereof, the City Council found the following:

The Mayor then announced that the ordinance was duly passed
and adopted.

AWARDING SALE OF $301,000
CITY OF SCHERTZ SEWER SYS-
TEM BONDS, SERIES 1962
WHEREAS, this City Council finds that the Mayor,
in accordance with the authority heretofore delegated to
him by and in a Resolution duly adopted by the City Council
of the City of Schertz on August 2, 1962, has caused a
Notice of Sale relating to the selling of $301,000 CITY OF
SCHERTZ SEWER SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1962, to be published in
THE DAILY BOND BUYER, New York, New York, of the issue of
August 9, 1962; the Notice of Sale, and the Official Notice of
Sale and Statement of Essential Facts relating to the selling
of the aforesaid bonds, having been by the aforesaid Resolu-
tion duly approved, and reference thereto for all pertinent
purposes is hereby specially made; and
WHEREAS, this City Council finds:

That the highest and best acceptable
bid submitted for the $3,000 of said bonds, maturing on
June 1, 1964, being the bonds designated as Block AA in the
Notice of Sale, was submitted by

the one and only bid which was submitted by the Government,

the purchase of said bonds at the price of par and accrued
interest for bonds bearing interest at the rate of 3-5/8% per
annum, subject to the provisions of the Government's offer to

WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this City Council to
formally accept said bids ; and award sale of the bonds to said
bidders in conformity with the accepted bids; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
