COMMENCING w.cm THE cALENDAR YEAR 1962;
CONFIRMING THE DE'l'EmttNA'nON HERETOFORE
MADE TO THIS EWEC'l', AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT.
WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas, having determined to timely assess for taxation
all property subject to taxation within the limits of
said C1ty, commencing on January 1, 1962, by and through
1ts own Tax Assessor~Col1ector 1nstead of by and through
the Tax Asse5sor~Collector of Guadalupe County, as pro~
vided by previoUflly enacted ordinances of said City, and
having heretofore duly appointed G. W. Pickrell as the
aS5assor and collector of taxes of said City, now desires
to oonfirm the establishment andadopt10n, for the pur-
poses of taxat;l.on in said City, the calendar year as the
Oity's fiscal year for such puxposes; NOW, 'i'HERE70RE,
BEI'l' ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS I

That the calendar year, for the purposes of tax-
ation in the C;l.ty of Schartz, Texas, for each and every
year, commencing with the calendar year 1962, shall be,
and the same is hereby adopted as theCity's fiscal year.

That the ordinance5 heretofore enacted by the City
Councll relating to the aSSeS51:lent of all taxable property
in the City of Schertz for the year 1962, 1ncluding the
appointment ot G. w. Pickrell as the Tax Assessor-Collector
of said City, and including all othel" actions and determin-
ations taken and made by the City Council of said City, all
being with the int.ent. purpose and design of establ1sh;ln.g
as the Ci tJr f 6 fiscal year, each calendar Year commencing
with the calendar year 1962, sball be, and the same are
hereby confirmed.

That all ordin&,ces or parts o~ ordinances hereto~
fore passed and enacted by the City Oouncil of the Oity of
S<lhertz, Texas, in con.flict w:i.th this ordinance, shall be,
and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
