AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ. TEXAS. ESTABLISHING SPEED
LIMITS ON PECAN STREET. MAPLE STREET AND CHESTNUT STREET ~ IN
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ. TEXAS. REPEALING ALL ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE A MISDEMEANOR.
WHEREAS, in Schertz, Texas. an engineering and traffic
investigation has been made to determine the maximum, reasonable

and prudent speeds on Maple Street, Pecan Street and Chestnut
Street for distances hereinafter set out.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the engineering and
traffic investigation that the maximum, reasonable and prudent

speeds for the sections of street!D'described above are as here-
inafter set out.
NOW. THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY Of SCHERTZ~ TEXAS:
That the maximum reasonable and prudent speed for the entire
length of Pecan street, Maple Street and Chestnut Street in the

City of Schertz, Texas, is and shall be hereafter 20 miles per
hour.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance

shall be guilty of a misdeameanor, and upon conviction thereof shall
be punished by a fine not exceeding $~~.C41hO
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here~th
are hereby repealed.

This ordinance shall become effective upon passage, approva1
and publication as provided by
law.
