APPOINTTIJG A CITIZENS ADVISORY COMlITTTEE FOR URBAN REN~vAL
IN TEE CITY OF SCHERTZ; SETTING THE TERl/B OF OFFICE OF ITS
}'[EH13ERS; APPOINTING l1'!B\;RS TO SERVE ON SAID Cm/iJvIITTEE
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 16 , 1968
tVHEREAS, the City of Schertz has established an Urban Renewal
Agency for said City pursuant to the Urban Renewal Laws of the State
of Texas; and
lrFfEREAS, the City and the Board of Commissioners of said Agency
have agreed that a Citizens Advisory Committee shotlid be appointed in
order to obtain the views of a cross-section of the citizens of Schertz
concerning the direction and depth of proposed UrbanH.ene'L'lTal Projects
within said City; and
WHEREAS, said Citizens Advisory Committee should include re-
presentatives from the religious, business, educational, cultural segments
of its community life as well as a representation of all the various
ethnic groups within said City; and
'!JHEREAS, it is the desire of this Coul1cil to establish said
Committee as soom as possible; nmv, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY TIm CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCFfIi.;HTZ;
1. A Citizens Advisory Committee for Urban Renewal is hereby
established in the City of Schertz, Texas.
2. The Committee shall be composed bf ten (10) members 1vhose
terms shall be for a one (1) year periodo
3. The following citizens of the City of Schertz are hereby
appointed for the period January Ih~, 1968 through January u,-tti., 1969.
4. The following citizens of the City of Schertz are hereby
appointed for the Citizens Advisory Committee:
