A RESOLUTION

DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AUTHORIZING -THE ISSUANCE
OF A CONTRACT IN EXCESS OF $2,000.00 WITHOUT BID.
WHEREAS, the City Council,~eeting in regular session on October 26,
1972, was in accordance that certain water lines need to be installed along
L Liv~Oak Road, and
WHEREAS, the Council further determined that in essence of timely
development of subdivisions in the vicinity of that northern portion of
Live Oak Road, installation of a 12 inch AC waterline is needed, and
WHEREAS, the City has already purchased the necessary 12 inch AC water
pipe for such construction,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS that:
An emergency be declared as provided in Vernon's Civil Statutes,
Article 2368a, Section 2, and that a contract without bid is hereby
authorized to install approximately 500 feet of 12 inch AC water pipe, the
location and specifications to be designated by the City Engineer.
