RESOLUTION NO. ~3-R-Ji
A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
PURSUANT TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 10.5 ACRES
OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF GUADALUPE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas
desires to institute annexation proceedings concerning the territory
described herein; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 6, Article 970a, Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes, public hearings are required, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT a public hearing is hereby scheduled for 6:30 o'clock P.M.,
Tuesday, December 6, 1983, to be held on the Doutheast corner of a 10.5
acre tract of land as described below, to obtain the views of the public
concerning the proposed annexation of this 10.5 acre tract of land as
described on the attached Fieldnote Description and map; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
THAT a second public hearing is hereby scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
Tuesday, December 6, 1983, to be held in the Council Chambers of the
Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road, Schertz, Texas, to obtain the views
of the public concerning the proposed annexation of the 10.5 acre tract
of land as described in the attached Fieldnote Description and map, and
made a part hereof.

FIELD NOTES FOR A 10.5 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
BEGINNING: At a concrete highway marker in the Northwesterly line of
Interstate Highway Number 35 at the Northwest cut-off of
I.H. 35 and F.M. 3009;
THENCE: North 13052' 1511 East, 113.37 feet along the right-of-way
cut-off line to a concrete highway marker in the West
right-of-way line of F.M. 3009 for the point of curvature
of a curve to the right whose radius is 1,492.69 feet and
chord bears North 300 23' 1511 West, 281.42 feet;
THENCE: Along the Westerly right-of-way line of F.M. 3009 and arc
of the curve, 281.84 feet to a point;
THENCE: Continuing along the Westerly right-of-way line of F.M. 3009,
North 240 5911 0011 West, 195.49 feet to a point for the
POINT OF BEGINNING and Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE: South 610 10' 3011 West, 494.38 feet to a point for the
Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE: North 280 491 3011 West, 873.37 feet to a point for the
Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE: North 610 10' 3011 East, 553.02 feet to a point for the
Westerly right-of-way line of F.M. 3009 for the Northeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE: South 240 59' 0011 East, 875.34 feet along the Westerly
right-of-way line of F.M. 3009 to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
and containing 10.50 acres of land~ more or less.
