A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, CASTING THE CITY'S 166 VOTES FOR
GUADALUPE COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT
DIRECTORS.
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 621, Section 6.03(g) requires the
City of Schertz to cast their votes for Guadalupe County
Appraisal District by resolution; and
WHEREAS, The City Council desires to cast their votes
for Guadalupe County Appraisal District Director; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAs:
THAT the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas
casts their 166 votes for CHARLES B. SHARPE for Guadalupe County
Appraisal District Director.

Dear Mayor Sawyer:
Please be advised that in accordance with Senate Bill 469
(amended Section 6.03, 6.031, 6.032, 6.033 of the State Property
Tax Code) , below please find the voting entitlement of your
jurisdiction.
The Appraisal District Board of Director nominees must be
submitted to the Ch~ef Appraiser by written resolution on or
x;'; before October 16, 1989. The Chief Appraiser will prepare an
alphabeti~al ballot of those nominees and deliver that ballot to
each taxing unit entitled to vote on those nominees by October
30, 1989. These taxing entities must vote in open meeting and by
written resolution submit their votes to the Chief Appraiser by
November 14, 1989. The Chief Appraiser will count the votes and
declare the nominees who receive the largest number of votes by
November 30., 1989.

The 1989 State Property Tax Board pUblication SELECTION OF THE
APPRAISAL DISTRICT DIRECTORS states that each voting unit must cast
its vote by written resolution and submit it to the chief appraiser by
November 14. All dates contained in this publication are directive
dates and are not mandatory. Your governing body 1S requested to
return a written resolution indicating how it has cast its votes
accompanied by this official ballot before November 27. This will
facilitate notification to all tax units and all candidates of the
outcome on or before December 1, 1989.
