Members present were: Mayor Michael Carpenter, Schertz Mayor Bill Seiler, Marion Mayor Stosh Boyle, Cibolo Mayor Tom Daly, Selma Mayor Larry Thompson, Garden Ridge Mayor Jeff Hunt, Santa Clara Mayor Walter Williams, New Berlin Mayor Mary Dennis, Live Oak City Secretary Brenda Dennis Guest: Maggie Titterington II. Introduction of those present. Members present introduced themselves. � 1 1. Update regarding Member Cities listing of all Emergency Operations — to include list of Assets and primary points of contact. (Currently have Schertz, Cibolo, Kirby Live Oak, Marion, Universal City and information) No discussion. 2. Status Discussion regarding the purpose and goals of the NEP organization. Mayor Carpenter stated we are working on our State Legislatures and promoting our area. We want to reach out to Randolph to make sure they have an invitation to our TML party. The Mayor moved to Agenda Item No. 4. 1 -31 -2019 Minutes 4. Discussion regarding the upcoming Thursday October 10, 2019 NEP and TML Region 7 hosted event at the Blue Bonnet Palace. Mayor Carpenter recognized The Chamber President Maggie Titterington to update the progress on the TML Party. Maggie presented the Mayor's with a Draft Agenda notating the categories such as food, decorations, Logo, sponsorships, and peripheral expenses /challenges /marketing /ideas for the Party. Mayor Mary Dennis added she was able to get a promise of a full -page ad for TTC for $500.00. TML will provide their sponsorship e -mails and list of all their vendors and registrants. The Chamber President Maggie Titterington also offered to help find an Events Coordinator to help organize this event and suggested MADD Women for graphic a designer. The Mayor moved to go to Agenda Item No. 6. 6. Discussion regarding election of officers for the Northeast Partnership for Economic Development. Mayor Bill Seiler will not be running as Mayor and will be stepping down as Treasurer. Mayor Tom Daly suggested Mayor Jeff Hunt for the Treasurer. Mayor Bill Seiler made a motion for Mayor Jeff Hunt take over the event from this moment forward and Mayor Hunt agreed. Request was made to place on the next regular meeting agenda for approval. A discussion ensued about coming up with a name for their TML party and sponsorships. "Party with a Partnership at the Legendary Blue Bonnet Palace" was introduced as the name of the Party. The next NEP meeting of February 7, 2019 was chosen for the election of officers. The Chamber President Maggie Titterington stated all the sponsors need to be secured by August 1, 2019 for the sponsors logo's to be listed in the September Magazine. 3. Discussion and update regarding the 2019 Legislative Day at the Texas Capitol and plans for February 21, 2018. City Secretary Brenda Dennis gave an update and general discussion ensued. 1 -31 -2019 Minutes 5. Consideration and /or action approving an agreement with Cartwheel Communications, LLC to update the NEP website design, maintain and host the website for two (2) years. General discussion ensued for the new contract. V. Items of interest by Member ® Mayor Larry Thompson discussed dealing with TXDOT on changing speed limits. ® Mayor Jeff Hunt discussed the Water Risk Map Program Cibolo Water Shed Meeting that will be hosted in Universal City the 15th of February. ® Mayor Stosh Boyle announced their Senior Citizen Prom, February and extended an invitation. VI. Establish a Date, Time, & Location of the Next Meeting. (Next up is the City of Schertz to host for March 7, 2019.) VII.
