Call to Order and Establish a Quorum — A quorum was present. Mayor Carpenter called the meeting to order at 12:03 p.m. as a quorum was present. 2. Welcome and Introductions Mayor Carpenter welcomed everyone in attendance and those present stood and introduced themselves. 3. Approval of the minutes of the workshop of January 31, 2019, March 7, 2019 and approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of February 14, 2019. Mayor Carpenter moved from the Chair seconded by Councilmember Hicks to approve the minutes of the workshop of January 31, 2019, March 7, 2019 and approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of February 14, 2019.The vote was unanimous. Motion Passed. 4. Approval of the Current Treasurer's Reports for NEP. Mayor Carpenter moved from the Chair seconded by Mayor Daly to accept the current treasurers report. The vote was unanimous. Motion Passed. 5. Presentation regarding the San Antonio Commanders. (Cameron Kovach/Tiffany Jolley) A presentation was provided by Tiffany and Cameron regarding the San Antonio Commanders. They provided schedules of their upcoming games. 6. Presentation regarding the Airforce Academy. (Robert Diehl) Robert Diehl provided information on recruitment into the Airforce Academy. 7. Information Items. A. Report from Tri County Chamber of Commerce. B. Report from The Chamber. C. Report from Randolph Air Power Community Council (RAPCO). D. Report on Bicycle Mobility Advisory Committee. E. Report from Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). 3 -14 -2019 Minutes Item A: Mindy from the Tri County Chamber provided information on their upcoming events. All event information can be found on their website. Item B: Maggie Titterington from The Chamber provided information on their upcoming events. All event information can be found on their website. Item C: Nigel Davies provided an overview of what is going on at RAPCO and an event that will be held on the 30'h of March. Item D: Councilmember Hicks stated that the MPO is working on a road study. Item E: No report provided. 8. Update regarding the upcoming "Party with the Partnership Event" scheduled for October 2019 TML Conference in San Antonio. Mayor Daly gave an overview of the event coming up in October answering questions from the Mayors. Sponsorship forms are available for each Mayor, get with Brenda and she will send out. 9. Establish a Date and Time of the next NEP Mayor's Workshop — City of Selma to host. (April 4, 2019) Mayor Carpenter stated the next Mayor's meeting will be on April 4, 2019 and the City of Selma will be hosting. 10. Establish a Date and Time of Next Northeast Partnership for Economic Development Meeting — April 11, 2019. Mayor Carpenter stated the next regular meeting will be here at the Olympia Conference Center on April 11, 2019. March Door Prizes — City of Schertz April Door Prizes — City of Selma Door prizes were provided today by City of Schertz. Door Prizes for April will be provided by the City of Selma. 11. Items of Interest by Members. • Dr. Browne City of Schertz provided information regarding the EVO Entertainment Facility opening. • Jimsi Kuborn with Converse stated that Converse Goes Green Day event is March 16v' 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 3 -14 -2019 Minutes • Councilmember Joel Hicks stated that their Kite Fest is Saturday March 23, 2019 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Niemietz Park. Also, on March 27th Cibolo will be opening their Senior Living Facility. • Mayor Hunt with Santa Clara stated and handed out Air Force Academy Cards. • Mayor Daly stated that March was all Selma and provided the following: - March 21St — The Taste Event at Retama Park — also at Retama you can come and eat all the crawfish you want. - March 23`d — Ben E. Keith Grand Opening - also stated that Mia Marcos Pizza Truck was awarded the "Best Pizza Top Roman Style ". • Alderman Victor Contreras with Marion Mentioned their upcoming Lighting Ceremony and the Lions Club Spaghetti Dinner, Saturday March 23`d 4 to 6 P.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall. • Mayor Carpenter provided updated information regarding Senate Bill 2 as well as House Bill 2 • Councilmember Gutierrez announced the City of Schertz Movin on Main event scheduled for Sunday April 7, 2019 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. 12.
