MINUTES OF WORKSHOP
APRIL 4, 2019
I. Call to Order and Establish a Quorum.
A tour of the Distribution center was provided prior to the beginning of the regular
meeting.
Mayor Carpenter called the workshop to order at 6:48 P.M.
Members present were:
Mayor Michael Carpenter, Schertz
Mayor Tom Daly, Selma
Mayor Bill Seiler, Marion
Mayor Larry Thompson, Garden Ridge
Mayor Jeff Hunt, Santa Clara
Mayor Walt Williams New Berlin
Mayor Mary Dennis, Live Oak
Guests: Leonard John, Nicolette Orozco, Maggie Titterington, Jeff Flynn, City
Administrator Johnnie Casias and City Secretary Brenda Dennis.
II. Introduction of those present.
III. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Update and discussion and possible action regarding the upcoming "Party with
the Partnership" event scheduled for October TML 2019. (Representatives from
The Reese Events Group will be in attendance) — Greg Reese — Nicolette Orozco
Nicolette Orozco provided information on what the Reese Company can provide
to be the marketing company of the event in October. Mr. Leonard John provided
updated information on the various foods that will be served as well as the bands
that will be playing that evening
Mayor Members discussed transporting delegates from the San Antonio
convention center by bus to the Bluebonnet Palace. Members went over the
contract presented making minor adjustments. Mayor Williams moved to
approve the contract with the Reese Events Group with the minor changes

discussed, seconded by Mayor Daly all Mayor members present voted to
approve. Motion passed.
Mayors continued discussion on obtaining different sponsorships for the event.
A revised sponsorship form was provided and will also be emailed out.
2. Update and discussion regarding the 2019 Legislative session and plans from
the organization.
Mayor's continue monitoring the HB's and SB's that have been filed and staying close
to those that will directly affect the cities.
IV. NEW BUSINESS:
No new business was discussed.
V. Items of interest by Member cities.
No items were presented.
VI. Establish a Date, Time, & Location of the Next Meeting. (Next up is the City of New
Universal City to host for May 2, 2019.
VII. Review and discussion regarding the Agenda for May 9, 2019 regular meeting.
No discussion.
VIII. Adjournment.
