Call to Order and Establish a Quorum — A quorum was present. Mayor Daly, City of Selma called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. as a quorum was present and thanked everyone for attending. 2. Welcome and Introductions Mayor Daly recognized first time attendees. Mayor Daly had all other attendees stand and introduce themselves. 3. Approval of the minutes the regular meeting of January 9, 2020 Mayor Daly recognized Mayor Pro -Tem Joel Hicks, City of Cibolo who moved, seconded by Mayor Victor Contreras, City of Marion to approve the minutes the of the regular meeting of January 9, 2020. The vote was unanimous. Motion Passed. 4. Approval of the Current Treasurer's Reports for NEP. Mayor Daly, City of Selma recognized Mayor Larry Thompson, City of Garden Ridge who moved seconded by Mayor Pro-Tern Joel Hicks, City of Cibolo to accept the current treasurers report. The vote was unanimous. Motion Passed. 5. Presentation regarding Traffic Incident Management (TIM). Mayor Daly recognized Mr. John Gianotti who provided a Power Point presentation regarding TIM and what is involved answering questions. 6. Presentation regarding Compatible Use Plan and Collaboration with NEP. Mayor Daly recognized Larry Dotson AACOG Program Manager who provided a Power Point presentation answering questions. 7. Information Items. A. Report from Tri County Chamber of Commerce. B. Report from The Chamber. C. Report from Randolph Air Power Community Council (RAPCO). D. Report on Bicycle Mobility Advisory Committee. E. Report from Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). 02 -13 -2020 Minutes Item A: Tri County Chamber Representative - February 27d' Mixer at Billy's Icehouse, New Braunfels begins at 5:30 p.m. - March Yd Mardi Gras Gala benefitting Northeast Lakeview College, 5:30 p.m. Bluebonnet Palace - March 1 01 — Monthly Luncheon, Hilton Garden Live Oak, 11:30 a.m. Item B: Maggie Titterington from The Chamber provided information on their upcoming events.: Introduced the members present from the Leadership Core Class, thanked all the cities and businesses who participated. March 19'b - The Taste at Retama Park, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. February 26t' through mid -April the Main Gate to Randolph will be closed — West Gate will be open 24/7 the East Gate will be open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., closed weekends. South Gate open normal hours, Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All event information can be found on their website. Mayor Daly recognized Commissioner Calvert who was attending the meeting. Item C: No report was provided. Item D: Scott Wayman, City of Live Oak, Bike Mobility, stated they had a meeting yesterday discussion that former Mayor Peak has a plan to get a bike trail circumnavigating the entire city of San Antonio. They also discussed the San Antonio Bike Share program. May is National Bike Month and the City of Universal City, Live Oak and ACCD will meet for a Bike to Work charging station on May 15 in Universal City in front of Action Bike. Mr. Wayman asked the NEP to consider a donation for this event to be discussed at the May NEP meeting. Item E: Mr. Hadas stated the following: • Mr. Hadas congratulated Converse and Universal City on their new roads MPO assisted with. The MPO is changing the way their board is being structured adding another meeting with NEP having more of a seat at the meeting. 8. Establish a date and time of the March 5, 2020 NEP Mayor's Workshop — City of Live Oak to host. 9. Establish a Date and Time of the next Northeast Partnership for Economic Development meeting —March 12, 2020. 02 -13 -2020 Minutes February Door Prizes — City of Kirby March Door Prizes — City of Live Oak Door Prizes were provided by the City of Kirby. Next month the City of Live Oak to provide door prizes. 10. Items of Interest by Members. • Jacquelin Phillips Ott spoke regarding her campaign for 25th District Judge position and asked those for support. • Ryan Krause spoke regarding his campaign for Congress District 15 and asked for support. • Mayor Ralph Gutierrez, City of Schertz stated that on February 29th is the Selma/Schertz Operation Comfort 5K run/walk. Also, on March 7"' the City of Schertz is hosting the annual Wilenchik Walk for Life event. • Councilmember Allison Heyward, City of Schertz spoke about partnering with local municipalities for TML webinars. She also announced she was the president of TML region 7 and would be sending out an e -mail with a survey attached that will help her go forward with being the president and making sure region 7 is taking full advantage of their membership with TML. • City Manager Scott Wayman, City of Live Oak announced they were preparing for their 60a' birthday, Easter Egg Scramble April 1 Ph, and May 8h Hilton Garden Inn Live Oak will have a celebration. Keep watch on the City of Live Oak Website for specifics. • Dwayne Robinson with Judge Wolff s office spoke regarding the importance of the 2020 Census and participation. • Mayor Victor Contreras, City of Marion announced on February 27 they will be hosting the Marion Education Tamale Dinner, Auction and raffle. • Jimsi Kuborn, EDC- Director City of Converse announced on Saturday February 15 the Converse Fire Department and Methodist Healthcare will be hosting a Health Fair at their new Fire Station at 602 Toepperwein from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. • Nada Islam with Henry Cuellar Office announced they will be hosting a Senior Citizen Information Fair February 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with many invited guests such as the Veterans Administration, Social Security and many other representatives from State organizations. • Mayor Jeff Hunt, City of Santa Clara encouraged everyone present to talk to the two candidates Jacquelin Phillips Ott and Ryan Krause. • Mayor Tom Daly, City of Selma announced on Valentine's Day from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Gunn Auto is giving away three vehicles to veterans. He also announced February 29h is the Selma/Schertz Operation Comfort 5K run/walk. 101 Adjournment.
