This is an open meeting, subject to the open meeting laws of the State of Texas. Call to order 1. Public comment - This time is set aside for any person who wishes to address the Board. Presentations should be limited to no more than 3 minutes. The presiding officer will call on those persons who have signed up to speak Minutes 3. Approval of the minutes for the Board of Directors Regular Monthly Meeting held on Thursday, September 24, 2020. (P. Horan) A motion to approve the minutes for the Board of Directors Regular Monthly Meeting held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, was made by Mr. McDaniel. Dennim Ms. Gayle Wilkenson, Deputy City Secretary, presented gifts to the Board Members on behalf the City in appreciation of all their volunteer service to the community. The gifts were given in lieu of the annual volunteer appreciation dinner that was cancelled due to COVID-19. 5. SEDC recognition and appreciation of The Chamber (Schertz-Cibolo-Sehna Area) in celebration of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Week. (A. Perez) NMI I U-11- Ing N1 11,11111r;1:11 i I ♦ t. SEDC/ San Antonio Economic Development Foundation (SAEDF) Regional Partnership Update� (A. Perez) Mr. Perez informed the Board that the SA-EDF has released the first iteration of the proposed Regional Business Attraction Cooperation Agreement. He highlighted that the objectives of the SEDC Minutes 10/22/2020 Page 2 of 4 Board Members posed questions related to the benefits of getting more projects leads, listing of other participating municipalities, region boundaries, term of the agreement, and who will be the main representative forthe groupto submit proposals. The Board made comparisons about this partnership with past-partnership models that did not have positive results for the SEDC. Mr. Perez will continue monitoring progress and participating in further refinement of the processes. I Mmm-n-- �-- -- M that Ms. Kolbe had accepted a position as the Director of Economic Development for the Gonzalez Economic Development Corporation. The Board and staff thanked Ms. Kolbe for her service to the City and the SEDC and presented her with a commemorative street sign "Kolbe Parkway" as a farewell gift.
